I believe in the ability of every individual to access the power within themselves to make changes that lead to a fulfilling life. My goal is to help you access your own truth that leads to your belief in this same capability. I work with each client on acceptance of life experiences, explore how these shape each person’s worldview, and make the changes necessary to have the kind of life they desire. As individuals we have our own experiences that we bring to therapy and our relationships. I use this as a tool to help each client identify their goals and then find the strength within themselves to make the changes they desire in their lives.
My approach is direct, authentic, and empathic. As a therapist I have an instinctual desire to connect with my clients. This allows me to bring my most genuine self to each session. I use an existential framework with psychodynamic influences to help clients find meaning in their struggle and take control of their life choices. I have the desire and capacity to meet each individual as they are in their life working through challenges such as life transitions, family relationships, addiction and recovery, socialization, depression, anxiety, and grief. I have a genuine interest in each client’s personal story and what makes them unique. I often use expressive modalities to aide clients in exploring their experiences and identifying the changes they want to make to have the life they desire.
