Mary’s Therapy Approach

Therapy works best when you’re feeling understood. By processing and understanding the events of your life and your reaction to them, we will identify healthy coping strategies to manage stress and strong emotions.

Have you experienced loss that feels overwhelming? Feeling “stuck” or alone in your grief? Together, we can work to help you feel better.

Our lives and problems can be more deeply understood through structured reflection of the past. I use a mix of psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to help people notice and be curious about their feelings, thoughts, behaviors.

My therapy is person-centered, meaning we look to see you as more than a set of problems or symptoms. This provides you with a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore and deepen your experiences.

I work with college-aged and early career professionals struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, and difficult career changes. I welcome the opportunity to begin your therapy journey with you.

I see patients by appointment only.
